Connection feels more stable in Four Kings when VPN is on — anyone else? - Shadowfern - 02-17-2026

Hey everyone,
I’ve noticed something odd while playing Four Kings lately. When I’m connected normally, I sometimes get lag, slow loading between rooms, or occasional disconnects. But when I turn on a VPN, everything feels smoother and more stable.
Not trying to bypass anything — just wondering if this is related to routing, ISP issues, or server regions.
Has anyone else experienced better (or worse) performance in the game when using a VPN?

That's really weird. Using a VPN, if anything I'd expect your connection to actually be *slower*, since you're passing through additional servers to get to your destination (those that make up the VPN itself).

Like many other players, since the last update I've been experiencing random disconnects all the time, along with the chip losses they bring on a regular basis.

Check my network configuration:

- 800 Mbps connection (cable)
- DOCSIS 3.1 router
- PS4 hard-wired to router (Ethernet)

It flies, and I've not had issues like this with any other MMO game that I play.

Given all that, the problem certainly isn't on my end.

In my opinion, it points to a lack of bandwidth for the Digital Leisure servers and/or their computing power. With the game's user base constantly growing along with updates which add more code, not taking those things into consideration is completely ludicrous.

Worst of all, apparently no one on the DL end can be bothered to look into it. I've reported the problem both here and in-game multiple times, with no response.

I just can't wait until the next update. Mark my words: Unless they address those issues in advance, things can only get worse.

It’s likely your ISP is throttling gaming traffic or using an inefficient routing path to the game servers. A VPN can force a more direct "express lane" connection, bypassing local congestion or poorly configured network hops everfi class code

I’ve been poking around different platforms lately, and the mix of live casino and virtual games at https://xsbets.com/ has been hitting the spot for me. The promos and achievements keep things interesting, and switching languages on the fly is handy if you’re chatting with friends abroad. Might be a solid option if you want something simple to jump into without fuss.

Looks like it's not available in the USA, at least not without going through a VPN.
