You can chat with other users by using the chat window, on the left of your screen. Using a USB keyboard will be easiest, but the controller will work as well. You can begin text entry either by pressing the left trigger, this will immediately display text entry. You can then type your message in the input box, and press the "Enter" key or X to send.

The icons across the top of the chat window will allow you to filter which chat channels are being displayed.

Golden Crown: All - You will see all chat messages that users send to you and players around you.
Orange: Global (/G) - You will see and send messages addressed to ALL players in the current room.
White: Local (/L)- You will see and send messages only to and from players in your immediate vicinity.
Blue: Table (/T) - You will see and send messages only to players currently at your table.
Purple: Private (/P) - You will see private messages that you send to other players, and private messages that are sent to you.
Green: Notifications - You will only see system messages created by the game for you.

How do I send a private message?
Sending a private message or PM is very simple. When in game, bring the chat window to its active state by pressing the left trigger. Then from the chat channels, use the directional pad to select the purple envelope icon. This will open the PM tab where you can begin your private messaging. You’ll now notice a text field beside in the chat text entry field – this is where you can type the username of the person you wish to PM. You need to make sure the spelling is correct, or the message will not send.

You can also PM friends by accessing your Friends List from the Main Menu, or by typing “/P” in the text entry field.

How do I customize my avatar?
To customize your character, open the main menu by pressing Options/Start/+, then select the “Avatar Customization” button to enter the wardrobe. In the wardrobe you can change the clothes your avatar is wearing.

First, select a category on the left to choose which item to change. This will bring up a list of available items along the right side of the wardrobe. Here you can choose the new item and color you wish to equip.

To customize your avatar, press the button in the top-left to switch to avatar customization. Here you can change hair, gender, skin color and facial features in the same way as the wardrobe. First select the category you wish to change, then the feature you want from the right side.

How do I emote? / How do I dance?
To perform emotes, including dances, you can open the emote menu by pressing the right bumper or Z on keyboard. This will bring up a list of emote categories. Simply select the category, then the emote you wish to perform and select it.

Can I gift chips to Friends?
You can gift chips by going to a Chip Station in the casino, then pressing the interact button to activate it. These stations are marked by the floating 3D chip above it.

Once you have entered the Chip Station, select "Gift Chips”. Then choose how many chips you would like to gift. Next, select the friend that you want to send the chips to. Once you confirm your purchase, the Sony Purchasing Window will deduct the funds from your Wallet.

After that is done, your friend will receive the chips. What a great gift!

How can I get new clothes?
You can get new clothes in a variety of ways! Some are unlocked by completing challenges within the Casino. Most are available to be purchased in the stores on the top floor of the Casino, using the RP that you accumulate from playing any of the games. Some clothes are exclusive for Real Money purchases.

To purchase clothes using RP, you can walk up to the counter of a store on the top floor of the casino, and press the indicated button to interact with it. You will find yourself in the store interface, where you can try on new clothes. Once you are happy with what your avatar is wearing, you can purchase your new clothes with the green checkout button at the bottom right. You will go through different windows informing you about the clothing and total RP involved in the purchase. Once you confirm your items and RP costs, you can complete your purchase by clicking on the green checkout icon.

You can also access the stores from the main menu.

Do I have a personal space?
Everyone gets a complimentary hotel room just for entering The Four Kings. Head to the elevators at the left or right side of the main Casino entrance to enter your personal space. You can accumulate more personal spaces by purchasing them in our in-game Escapes store. There are two additional premium escape options for cash purchase, or the Penthouse available for 1 million RP!

What can I do if I’m being harassed?
If you are being harassed, you have two options: You can block them, or you can report them. If you are standing near the offending party in the casino, the fastest way to do these is to face them with your avatar, then press the indicated button visible under their name to bring up the Interact menu. This brings up a list of actions that you can do, two of them are blocking and reporting.

Once you block a user, you will no longer be able to see their chat messages or their avatar in the casino. If you need to un-block somebody, you can go to the friends menu by pressing “OPTIONS”, then selecting the “Blocked” tab, where you can see a list of users you blocked. You can press the button with the X under the list to remove them from blocked list.

If you choose to report someone, you will be shown a text input box where you can fill in the details of the reason for the report. Once you are done, select the checkmark button to submit your report. You are given 5 reports per week, so be sure to report only once per incident.]]> How do I chat?

Slot Event

During the Slot Event, a slot tournament is hosted in the Event Room.

Premise: Try and get the highest score with a fixed number of chips in Slots.
Location: Lobby
Duration: 3 Days
Entry Fee: 1,000 Chips

To enter the tournament, go to the Event Room from the Lobby or by fast travelling with the map. Inside, you can pay 1,000 chips for the entry fee to participate. This will open the roped off section for you and you will then have 20 tournament spins to earn the highest score possible.

All winnings from these slots will contribute to your score but will not directly award chips. Your goal is to get the highest score possible with amount of spins that are given to you. Throughout the day there will be 60 minute rounds. At the end of these rounds, players are ranked based on their score, and prizes are awarded.

Scores earned in the shorter events will also contribute to your score in the overall weekend tournament. Your highest score of the weekend will be ranked on this leaderboard and prizes will be awarded at the end of the tournament.

There is no limit to how often you are allowed to buy into the Slot tournament. As long as you have chips you can keep entering, but only your highest score for the period is tracked.

Quick Details

Each entry gives players 20 spins.
All machines are set to max bets + lines per spin.
Players will be able to buy-in multiple times, but only their highest scoring run will count.
Players may stand up in the middle of a game, when they return they will have the same number of spins as when they left.
Players may not leave the tournament area while they still have spins.
If players leave, they forfeit their remaining spins. Their score up to that point will be recorded.
If a round ends and they have not finished their chips yet, their score up to that point will be recorded, and any remaining spins will be forfeit.
Players may not join in the last 10 minutes of a round.

Blackjack Event

The Blackjack Event is hosted in the Event Room and runs for 3 days, beginning on Friday.

The Blackjack tournament allows players to compete with a fixed number of chips, in a format similar to our slot tournament. Players will be able to buy into special tournament Blackjack tables for 1,000 chips. This will give them chips to use at the event tables. They will then play Blackjack as normal. The game will keep track of how much they earn while playing with these chips.

The tournament will be divided into hourly segments. The player who earns the most in these two hour segments will be awarded chips based on how many people entered. The players who get the highest score for the weekend will also win additional prizes.

Rules:

Players will be given 5,000 tournament chips to play with at the tournament table. These chips are only used in the tournament.
Limits will be 50-2,000.
Players will not earn any RP outside of the tournament or use the tournament chips outside of the tournament ropes.
The time limit on rounds will be 1 hour.
Players will not be able to enter in the last 15 minutes of a session.
Players will be warned when there are 15 minutes left in the session. They will receive another warning at 10 minutes. And another at 5 minutes and every minute after that.
When a session ends, all players still playing will have their earnings recorded, and they will forfeit any remaining tournament chips.
Players may stand up in the middle of their session, but if they leave the designated blackjack tournament area, they will forfeit their remaining chips. Their earnings up to that point will be recorded.
Players may enter as many times as they want, but only their top score will count for each session (or for the weekend).

Survivor Poker

While the Survivor Poker event is active, all full Tournament Poker games (6 players) will allow you to earn points in the event. No buy-in is required save for the buy-ins for each individual Poker game, as usual. The premise of the tournament is to outlast as many players as possible during Poker games over the course of the event.

Rules:

For every player eliminated from your table you get 1 point. So when the first player is eliminated, the remaining 5 get 1 point each. When the second player is eliminated, the remaining 4 get another point each, etc.
These rules will only apply to 6 player games — games with less than 6 can still be played during the event, but they will not award points.
Players in VIP or High Roller Poker games will earn the same number of points as regular players.
The objective of this event is to be the last man standing in as many poker games as possible.

Players will be ranked based on how many points they have accumulated. Prizes will be awarded to players based on their finishing order.

Hill Climb

The Hill Climb event runs from Thursday 12 AM GMT to Tuesday 12 AM GMT.

This is the longest event and takes place over 5 days. Each day has a different featured game for users to play. The objective is to accumulate the most RP earnings for each featured game. At the end of the day players will be rewarded based on their position on the leaderboard of that game. Unlike some other events, you can participate by playing the day's designated game anywhere in the casino. At the end of the event, your total RP earnings from each day will be added up and players will be reward based on their position on the Event leaderboard.

How do I earn VIP?

The more chips you win, the more RP you win. All of the games will be able to earn you progress towards VIP, so we encourage you to play your favourites!

When you achieve VIP status you have the rest of the month to play and socialize exclusively in the VIP Room and enjoy your other VIP benefits based on your VIP level. Once the next month starts, you will have until the end of the month to earn the required RP to maintain your status.

For further clarification on the VIP system, here is a detailed example:
Let’s say it takes you from March 1st to March 15th to earn 20,000 RP for VIP 1. On March 15th you become VIP 1. You now have access to the VIP Area and all of your RP earnings still count towards this month's VIP status run. You could earn enough RP by the end of March to be VIP 2 or VIP 3 and get all of the bonuses, but for simplicity in this example let’s say you only earned enough to be VIP 1.
Fast forward to April 1st. All of your VIP RP resets to 0, all of your unsent VIP Guest Passes get thrown out, but you still have VIP 1 status. You'll get a new batch of guest passes, and you'll still have access to the VIP area. However, with all stats cleared, you must now earn the minimum RP to retain your VIP status by the end of the month.

Why did I lose my VIP progress/status?

At the beginning of every month we check to see how much RP players have earned, and reset everyone’s VIP progress. Can I change my username?
On PlayStation and Xbox, your username is always tied to your online ID or gamertag for that platform — you can change those outside of Four Kings and they will automatically update to match in-game.
If you're playing on Steam or Nintendo Switch, shoot us an email at techsupport@digitalleisure.com with your current username and what you'd like to change it to (usernames may only be changed once every 6 months).

What happens if I get disconnected and lose chips?
If you get disconnected from The Four Kings due to an unforeseen error or disconnect submit a Chip Error report and we will refund your buy in. We cannot refund winnings. Please do not abuse this honor based system. We trust our users to be responsible when it comes to requesting chip refunds. We have the right to refuse refund requests if we feel that a user is abusing the system.

How do I report a bug?
The button to report bugs can be found in the settings menu, which you can get to by pressing Options/Start/Plus (+) on your controller, then selecting "Settings" in the top menu bar, and then Bug Report.
Once you press the button, you will have a text input box available to you and several pull down menus. You can use these to fill in details about the bug you encountered, these will help us find and fix the bug faster.

How many chips do I have?
There are a couple locations where you can see your chips. When your avatar stops moving, or when your avatar stands next to a game, your nameplate will appear over your avatar’s head. The value will be displayed next to the blue chip icon. You can also view your holdings by opening up the main menu. Your chip holdings, RP, Free Spins and VIP Guest Passes will be displayed on the bottom bar of the menu.

Games and Mechanics

How do I join a game?
To join a game, position your avatar next to the game you wish to join. Press the X button to join and your avatar will sit down at the game. There will need to be an empty seat available, and you’ll need to have enough chips to make the minimum bet.

How do I play this game....?
We have a help menu in the game which explains how to play each game. This can be found by opening the main menu, selecting Options and then clicking on the “?” to open the help menu. There is also a help button (or Q by default on PC keyboard) that you can press when standing near a game to quickly bring up the help menu. Slot machines also have help buttons that detail slot features, symbol values, and more.

What are tasks?
Tasks are a great way to score bonus chips throughout the week. You’ll notice in the top right corner of your screen there is a notebook icon with a checkmark – this is your task tracker. You can select any of the tasks directly for more details on what you earn for completing each task. You’ll even be awarded additional chips for completing the full set of daily tasks and completing all daily tasks on consecutive days! Weekly and monthly tasks are also available for even more chips.

How do tournaments work?
Tournaments will happen at least once a week during the weekend. Tournaments all have their own leaderboards and players will be rewarded based on their placing on the leaderboard. The more people that participate in the tournament the bigger the prize pool will be. Most of our tournaments have different formats and you can find the details on our forums. The details of the featured tournament will be at the top of the board. Tournaments give everyone a chance to win big, even if you don’t have a huge amount of chips to spend.

Are all the games available in the main lobby?
Not all of the games are in the main lobby. Some games such as Blackjack, Poker, and Bingo all have their own special rooms that you can access from the main lobby. The VIP Lounge and High Rollers areas have exclusive spaces for top players, higher stakes for Poker tables, and higher bet limits for even bigger wins!

What is RP?
RP or “Reward Points” are earned by playing games throughout the Casino. These points are used to buy items and other rewards from the shops on the upper levels. RP is awarded based on how many chips you win from a game. RP is awarded slightly differently for each game, so you will be able to earn RP at the same rate regardless of which game you want to play.
The total RP you earn from games is also used to calculate your tier for rewards, and your leaderboard rank.

Are these games rigged?
No, the games are not rigged. All games follow common casino rules, and are randomized to the best of our ability. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. Good luck!

What is the best way to earn RP?
There is no “best” way to earn RP, but you may personally find better results with some games than others. Here are some tips:

Bet within your limit. You earn more RP for betting higher, but that won’t do you any good if you run out of chips. You will not win every hand, so its important that your bank roll is able to absorb some losses. A good rule of thumb is to never bet more than 10% of your bank roll unless you have to.
Research the game before you start betting big. If you’re not familiar with a game, don’t start throwing chips at it right away. Play a few rounds with low bets to see how it works.
Avoid bets with a bad house edge. This will require some research on your part, but try to avoid bets which pay out very infrequently. Some examples – Hardway bets in craps, tie bets in war and baccarat, Big 6 Wheel. It’s fine to throw a few chips at these bets once in a while, but don’t rely on them to earn RP.

There are also Global tiers which measure how much RP you have earned from any game in the Casino. Every time you reach a new Global tier, you receive free chips. When you reach Tier 40 Global, there is also an exclusive item reward.

How do leaderboards work?
Leaderboards in the Casino measure your Score, which is a total of how much RP you have earned at that game. You can check the leaderboards by reading the various screens scattered around the Casino, or by opening the menu, selecting the “Profile” icon, then the “Leaderboards” tab. At the end of the season players who place on the leaderboards are awarded exclusive prizes.
