Unfair hill climb

With about 2 hours left in WAR I was sitting in 10th, about 1000 up on 11th place.  Pretty nice cushion, but certainly not safe by any means.  Knowing this, I went to the High Rollers to see the WAR table was full.  Tried multiple times and it gave me the same room each time with a full table so I had to settle for VIP and betting just 10,000.  After about an hour of play, I am now virtually tied for 10th in danger of falling out of payouts because others are at a High Rollers Table.  Still can't get a seat at the high-rollers table so I will be passed up in a matter of minutes.  Impossible to hold on to a lead when I'm playing for 10,000 a hand and my competition is playing 40,000 per hand, simply because the table is full.  Wasted hundreds of thousands of chips, many hours, and looks like I'll get nothing in return as I fall to 11th place.  All because a table is full?!  Absolutely ridiculous.  Seems like the event room would be a great place to be able to participate in an event and avoid this happening.

I believe the hill climb has just begun.  You still have Blackjack, Roulette, Craps, and Bingo to play too.  So perhaps you can recover your position playing in those areas.  I know it was tough for me when I got the crown back in September I believe it was.  The first 4 rounds of games were stressful, but then Bingo comes around and its more relaxed.

I have had a blast these past 2 days.  I was lucky enough to finish top 10, when might we receive our reward?  I hardly slept it was pretty arduous!  Thanks!

I 100% agree on this. That event room is about a waste of space. Why even call it an event room when you never hold the actual events in there?

I've only ever seen the "Event Room" open for a month after a season, and its only available to jacket winners, or people that ended up in the top 10 of a game.

My issue wasn't about the overall event, but the fact that I was likely going to miss out on the first event's payouts because I couldn't get a seat in the final hour to hold on to my spot as the 11th place guy made his push.  I ended up losing all of my chips on blackjack and had to call it quits much earlier than I would have preferred.  I would have been a bit more comfortable with an additional 100k or so in my stack had I placed in War, but it ultimately didn't matter.

One HORRIBLE stretch wiped me out completely.  I took a video clip at the end just so I could look back and see how bad my luck was on blackjack.  Over a 15 minute period, I had won 3 hands, pushed 2, and lost over 900k in chips in I believe 29 hands.  I WON THREE OUT OF TWENTY-NINE HANDS!?!?  The good news is that I didn't feel the urge to waste the next 2 days grinding away at roulette and craps.
