I recently made a purchase for the new nose ring and once i leave the store it isn't available for my avatar. Please advise what i can to to make sure i have the ability to wear it.

I just took a look and it appears to be in your inventory. Keep in mind it is a Facial Feature item, so you'll find it in the Avatar tab rather than the Clothing tab in the wardrobe (the same place you'd find things like freckles).
