2 features i want to see in the next update

I like the game but 2 things annoy me.
#1, get rid of the "push x to start" at the splash screen. Ive already pressed X to load the game, i dont want to press X after a wait for another long wait. Load the game already!
#2, let the chat box stay minimised. I never use it, if i want too i can press L3 to open it up so when i load up the game remember the chat box position from previous game, for me its always minimised. Same goes for the popup messages on the right. Just remember how i have them and keep them like that. For me, notifications and chat boxes are always minimised.
Actually, #3, fix the right sided popups. Atm it says "R2 Resize" and i press R2 and nothing happens. I want to see the icons not the full text so minimised is how i like it but if it wont resize then fix it so it does then remember how it is for the next session.

Do that and i might actually purchase some real money items. The way it is now annoys me having to close the chat box and popups every time i load the game.

Another feature is the option to always start at the front door like it used too. I always start my day with the big slots so its annoying when it loads me up in poker. More loading to get where i want to be.

I dont want to press X to wait and i dont want to  search to find out where i am and wait again just to start at the super slots.
And when you go to the lobby it starts in the middle of the room, it was so much better to start at the front door.

Please change it back or give us the option to choose where we start, front door or last location.

When you're finished playing poker, go to the lobby (center walkway area), then sign out of the game. Next time you'll appear at the front door with the daily slot machines.

There are some things that Sony requires us to include, and unfortunately this is one of them. There's not much we can do about this.

We changed this for a couple reasons, the first being that most MMO's will keep your avatar where you last logged out. It makes it easy for a player to pick up where they last left off. The second is a more technical reason:  by forcing everyone to log in at the same spawn point, it was creating a mass of avatars in one spot which slowed the framerate and increased load times overall. When we spread people out a bit, it improves these issues without needing to reduce visual quality.

If you want to load in at the lobby, you can use the map to teleport there quickly before you log out. When you log in again, you should be at the top of the stairs as you prefer. You can also find the daily slots in the Club and in VIP.

As for the chat/notifications suggestions, our redesign of the UI is still ongoing.  We haven't updated the chat window yet, and I will definitely pass along the notifications R2 issue as it sounds like a bug. Is there a particular point that the chat window isn't staying closed, or is it just when you re-login?

when you re-login it always opens the chat window and the notifications are also gone back to full.
the chat window can be closed anytime by pressing L3 x3 but the notifications cant be closed or shrunk until you get a notification.
but it all gets reset when you log out and back in again. so everytime you log in you have to close the chat box again and wait for a notification so you can close that too.

wouldnt it be easier to just give us options so we can set it up the way we like?

there are some games which load directly into the game without pressing anything so why do we have to press X to wait? (GTA5 for example)

Hi Faerie,

I'm not a big fan of leaving the chat window closed as I feel that diminishes from the social aspect of the game. We want you to meet new people and make new friends! We also sometimes put announcements in chat, like when new tasks are available. When we update chat, we are also going to update it so in minimizes when entering most mini games though, so it doesn't interfere with the UI for the minigames.

Likewise, I want people to see what tasks are available when they start their day so they can plan their play session accordingly. What you're saying about not being able to minimize the Task Tracker and Notifications sounds like a bug. Pressing R2 the first time focuses the Task tracker. If you want to minimize it, just press R2 again. When the task tracker is focused, you can press X to bring up more information, or use the D-Pad to scroll up and down. Pressing X on certain notifications (like friend requests) will bring up the relevant menu.

I've given you my reasoning for the decisions we've made, but if we hear enough people wanting the same thing we're willing to change it. Thanks for your comments.

Instead of forcing people to do what you want how about giving people an option to do what they want.
The very first think I do when I load up the game is close the bloody chat window. I never use it, I 'm NOT interested in meeting people, I'm not interested in any of the crap the chat window offers, I'm just interested in the games.
Just like a real casino, I go in, I play the games I want to play and I leave. I chat to nobody, I'm not there to make friends I'm there for the reason the casino is there, to play the games and hopefully make some money.

How about you make it like a real casino. Give us the option to have the chat window the way WE want it, its not hard, have an option in the settings, "chat window open or closed at game startup"
Thats the only feature I've asked from year 1 and its still not there. Now you know why I dont play the game anymore. You dont listen to your customers, you ignore them so they leave. I've read many people stopping playing this game because you dont listen to their wishes and dont fix the bugs. I've also reported many bugs and most are still there to this day. Even more bugs are added and useless features added and more items changed from free to paid. I can see your not in it for the people, your in it to make money. If you were in it for the people, the free things would've stayed free, the requests from the people would've been fulfilled and the bugs removed but no, you ignore us, changed free to paid and add more useless features and bugs.

Lol fairy, it is pointless to ask for something the players want. It is DL's game and their own social experiment. So either deal with it or quit playing.
